Dan Clark's
views and teachings on governance and strategic planning have many
He blends those experiences and perspectives into a balanced approach that helps organizations continue to build on their successes through visioning, strategic planning and sound governance. Well known credit union periodicals have given wide distribution to Dan’s columns and commentaries (over 220 to date). He authored two of the original Volunteer Achievement Program modules from the Credit Union National Association, authored two books on governance and a model of board governance policies -- now in its 13th edition. His popular ALM-101 training program has enlightened credit union volunteers and staff alike for over two decades. A sought after speaker with a historical perspective and quick wit, he is practical in content, inspirational in delivery, and challenges the status quo. The Clark Governance Model is a perfect blueprint for credit union success for the 21st century. It is also a model that finds favor in other non-profit organizations. An experienced credit union Board member, Dan has served on several CUSO and community Boards and committees. Dan earned a degree in business and economics, with a concentration in accounting, from Rollins College in central Florida. While at a Tallahassee credit union, he earned the CCUE designation.
